Why could need a vector file?

Vector files do not use resolution; this allows them to be scalable and printed in high quality regardless of their size. They are essential for print techniques like embossing, debossing, gloss, and hot stamping, as well as for embroidery and vinyl cutting.

Raster format is essential when an illustration requires complex textures—such as mimicking traditional media like oil, watercolor, or charcoal. Vector illustrations are made of scalable shapes and lines, so they can be resized without losing quality, making them ideal for logos, icons, and prints. Raster images (bitmaps) are made of pixels, which can become blurry or pixelated when scaled up.
